AddonBench is a directory of Chrome extensions for productivity work. Searching the Web Store surfaces whatever ranks that week, which is a poor way to decide what belongs in your browser or on a team's standard install list. Here the entries are grouped by the job you are trying to do, and each one names who is behind the extension and what it costs.
Listings are submitted by the people who make them. A submission costs $49, goes live as soon as payment clears, and is reviewed by an editor after that. If it does not hold up, it comes down, and the fee is not refunded.
How we curate
An extension stays listed while it is still published on the Chrome Web Store and still maintained by whoever ships it. We check the vendor's own site and store page when a listing goes up, and we re-check periodically. Extensions that go unmaintained, get delisted, or quietly change what they do with your browsing data are removed.
Pricing notes are written to be honest rather than tidy. Plenty of good extensions are free, and this directory says so instead of forcing every entry into a subscription shape.
What a listing is not
A listing is not an endorsement of every claim a vendor makes, and paying does not buy a better position. The ordering you see is editorial. The one paid position is the Featured slot, and it carries a label wherever it appears.
List your extension
If you make a Chrome extension that earns its place in someone's toolbar, submit it. The $49 fee covers hand review and periodic re-verification. It does not cover acceptance: an extension that fails review comes down, and the fee stays spent.
